This is the year.
The year of spending the first month in San Francisco with a group of 13 students from the Whitworth education department, teaching at an inner city school and living a free life.
The year of student teaching in a class of incredible kindergarteners where I will grow and laugh and cry and love and be loved.
The year of visiting my lifelong friend Anna in New York for 7 days over spring break, with a trip up to see Erik in Providence, RI as well.
The last year of living in the Burrow basement, where I can always find a friendly face and someone to make fun of me when I need to laugh.
The year of college graduation and the many unknowns and "see you laters" that will bring.
The year of (cross your fingers) working abroad, teaching special education and growing in all aspects of my being.
This is the year of adventure.
My first adventure begins in two short days, when Caty and I will board a plane in SeaTac and fly down to San Francisco. After meeting up with Liz once she gets in, we will take a shuttle to the hotel... And then our adventure truly begins :) This month will be HARD, and I sometimes forget that my Jan term will be spent in the classroom all day, every day. But I am excited to live with people I love and learn about them and myself. And eat a little Ghirardelli ice cream in the process :)
